Dale "Tinker" Robeson

Dale "Tinker" Robeson, 93, formerly of Summerfield, KS, died Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Cambridge Place Nursing Home in Marysville, KS. Visitation was Tuesday, November 10, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 11 at the Presbyterian Church in Summerfield. Burial was in the Summerfield Cemetery. Dale was born August 5, 1922, at Home, KS to Roy and Ida (Ringen) Robeson. He graduated high school in 1940 at Summerfield and attended Kansas State University. In 1942, he joined the U.S. Army and served under General George Patton with the 3rd Army Division. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge, where he earned a purple heart and received a bronze star. Tink welded on tanks to keep them going. Dale was a blacksmith in Summerfield from 1946 to 1986. He drove a school bus for Summerfield school. Dale raised greyhounds and mules. He loved to attend dances and dance. Preceding him in death were his parents; and brother Lawrence Robeson. Survivors include his sister, Willa "Kork" Erickson, Olsburg, KS; nieces, Gayle (Tom) Casselman, Pineville, OR, JoLynne (Steve) Voet, Oketo; nephews, Dennie (Charlotte) Braddock, Olsburg, Randy (Jeff) Erickson, Manhattan and Stephen (Julie) Robeson, Summerfield. A memorial fund is established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville.
