Lois L. Prell, 94, of Bremen, KS, died Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Cambridge Place in Marysville. Visitation is Sunday, November 29 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hanover Mortuary in Hanover. The family will receive friends 4 to 6 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 30 at Immanuel (Hermansburg) Lutheran Church north of Bremen. Rev. Aaron Fenker will officiate. The pallbearers will be Steve Prell, David Prell, Jay Hynek, Don Minge, Ron Lehms, and Larry Pralle. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Lois was born January 9, 1921 at Hollenberg, KS, to John and Olevia (Wehling) Rohlfs. In 1940, she graduated from Hanover High School. Lois taught grade school at Hollenberg and South Immanuel Lutheran School. On November 8, 1942, she was united in marriage to Harold Prell at Steele City, NE. They lived in Bremen and she worked at Bremen Farmers Mutual Insurance Company for many years. She was a member of Kiwanis, Hanover Legion Auxiliary, Bremen Social Club, Friends of Hollenberg, Black Squirrel Campers, Winter Texan Campers and Immanuel Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; infant daughter, Denise; and brother, Robert Rohlfs. Survivors include her brother-in-law, Keith Roll, Norfolk, NE; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. A memorial fund is established to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Immanuel Lutheran School Museum or Meadowlark Hospice. Contributions may be sent in care of the Hanover Mortuary.
