Dorothy Edna Hiltgen, 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 12, 2009. She has been a resident of Cambridge Place in Marysville for the last three years. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., March 28, 2009 at the Church of Christ in Marysville. Dorothy was born February 21, 1919 in Waterville, KS, daughter of Charles and Rachel Winklepleck. She graduated from Barnes High School in 1938 as the class Valedictorian. On October 3, 1941 she married Glen “Johnny” Hiltgen. They had two children, Deanne and David. Dorothy and her husband were involved in farming for many years. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Marysville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen “Johnny” Hiltgen; son, David; and three brothers, Lyle, George and Charles Jr. Survivors include her daughter, Deanne J. Brady of Topeka; sister Nadine Ross; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Dorothy was loved and respected by all who knew her and will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.
