Sue Tryon

Mary Suzan Tryon, 77, died April 12, 2009, at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville. A funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 18, at the First Christian Church in Marysville. Rev. Jerry Zanker will officiated. Deb Landoll played the organ while Wayne Kruse sang "In the Garden" and "How Great Thou Art" and the congregation sang "Just a Closer Walk With Thee". "Remember When" by Alan Jackson was also played. Burial was in Marysville City Cemetery. Sue was born August 15, 1931, at Pueblo, CO, the daughter of H.E. “Duke” and Lela Vee (Fitchie) Runyan. She attended Marysville High School and Manhattan Bible College. On August 20, 1950, she married Wayne E. Tryon at Marysville. They had four daughters. Sue was past national president of the Union Pacific Old Timers, member of the UP Employees Club, and belonged to NARVE. She was active throughout her life with the First Christian Church where she was the past superintendent of Sunday school and a member of the Mary Circle and CWF. She and her husband were members of the Good Sam Camping Club. She did many types of arts and crafts and was the owner of Sue’s Etc. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one grandson, Kevin Byers. Survivors include her husband, Wayne Tryon of Marysville; four daughters, T.J. Baker of Omaha, NE, Victoria Cagan of Lawrence, KS, Kate Byers of Beattie, KS, and Louie Ring of Marysville; one brother, Robert E. Runyan of Yukon, OK; fourteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Community Memorial Healthcare Building Fund.
