Edna M. Gee

Edna M. Gee, 96, of Marysville, KS, died February 6, 2016 at Country Place Senior Living. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 9 at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. Visitation will be Monday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in the Marysville City Cemetery Edna was born July 27, 1919 near Winifred, KS, to Roy and Edith (Clark) McKee. In 1938, she graduated from Frankfort High School as Valedictorian. Edna graduated from Kansas City Business College then worked for the War Department in Washington D.C. In 1942, she married Harold Gee. They lived in Hinesville, GA, and Fontana, CA. She taught business at Fairview High School before moving to the Marysville area. Survivors include daughters, Jennifer Gee and Kristyn (Jack) Hain of Marysville; sons, Stephen (Debbie) Gee of Rossville, KS, and Michael (Ruth Ann) Gee, of Home, KS; 8 grandchildren: Whitney Gee, Jeanette McElroy, Fred (Wendy) Gee, Doug Gee, Aaron (Kelly) Gee, Matt (Jennifer) Gee, Jon (Kristen) Hain, Darren Hain, 13 great grand children and 1 great great grand child. Daughter-in-law: Jeanne (Doug) Murdock and Brother-in-law: Lyle Godbout. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; sons, Gregory, and Stuart; brother, Russell McKee; sisters, Lucille Schmidt, Nina Musil and Bobbie Godbout; and grandson, Seth Gee.
