Leroy Stock

Karl "Leroy" Stock, 90, of Pasadena, TX, died June 2, 2016 at Courtyards at Pasadena. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 7 at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. Visitation will be from noon to service time. Burial will be in the Marysville City Cemetery. Leroy was born July 6, 1925 near Home, KS, son of Karl Earnest and Hazel (Carter) Stock. After graduating from Marysville High School in 1942 he farmed before going to Texas and beginning a long career working on ships. He worked his way from an Electrician to First Engineer. Most of his time was spent at sea or in port until retiring at age 65. At the age of 27 he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. He enjoyed going to flea markets and collecting many things. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Raymond Jurgens. Survivors include his sister, Mary Frances Jurgens, Marysville; nephews, Gary Jurgens and Dale Jurgens, Summerfield; niece, Phyllis (Vince) O'Toole, Marysville; great nephew, Vince O'Toole, Jr.; and great niece, Lena O'Toole.
