Glenda A. Bruna, 74, of Hanover, KS, died Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Cambridge Place in Marysville. Visitation was Friday, July 8, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hanover Mortuary in Hanover. A rosary service was held at 7 p.m., Friday at St. John's Catholic Church in Hanover. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 9, at St. John's Catholic Church. Father Joseph Kieffer officiated. Janet Fritschi played the organ while the church choir sang "Here I Am Lord”, “Prayer of St. Francis”, “Only a Shadow”, “On Eagles Wings”, “You Are Mine”, and “How Great Thou Art”. The pallbearers were Dewayne Dressman, Steve Dressman, Brian Dressman, Brad Dressman, Roger Jueneman, and Ron Jueneman. Burial was in the church cemetery. Glenda was born January 10, 1942 at Axtell, KS, daughter of Joseph and Helen (Heiman) Dressman. She attended school at Baileyville, KS. On October 24, 1964, she married Harold Bruna at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baileyville. Glenda helped with the lunch program for the Hanover schools. She enjoyed baking bread, helping with funeral dinners, raising chickens and dogs. She was a member of St. John’s Altar Society, Ballard Falls Club, and American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, Harold; son, Randy (Michelle) Bruna, Hanover; daughter, Tammy (Pieter) Miller, Hutchinson, KS; brother, Dallas (Henrietta) Dressman, Baileyville, KS; and four grandchildren, Sean Bruna, Aundrea Bruna, Natalie Miller, and Owen Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents; and five brothers, Alvin, Ervin, Lester, Edwin, and Clarence Dressman. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later.
