Jack Holle, 80, of Marysville, KS, died August 31, 2016 at the Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville. A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 6 at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church in Marysville. Visitation was one hour prior to the services at the church. Father Nathan Haverland officiated. Bob Welch was the organist. Music included “Be Not Afraid” and “Here I Am, Lord”. The pallbearers were Ryan Ogg, Russell Ogg, Frank Nietfeld, Chris Domino, Nicholas Holle, and Brandon Escosio. Burial was in St. Gregory’s Catholic Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Marysville American Legion. Jack was born August 19, 1936 at Marysville to Phillip and Bertha (Paxton) Holle. He graduated from Marysville High School. On April 28, 1962, he married Paula Nietfeld in Marysville. Jack served twenty-seven years in the military; National Guard, Navy and retired from the Air Force. He was awarded several medals, including a Purple Heart, during his long military career. Jack also was a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Post Office in Marysville for seventeen years. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Paula Holle; brothers, Glen Holle, Allen Holle, and Merlin Holle; and sisters, Phyllis Ungerer and Fern Lee. Survivors include his children, Vicki Domino, Mansfield, TX, Phil Holle, Marysville, Pam Holle, Marysville, Theresa Ogg, Beattie and Jennifer Holle, Marysville; twelve grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. A memorial fund is established and contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
