Delmer G. Holle, 76, of Hanover, KS, died September 2, 2016, at a Lincoln, NE, hospital. Visitation was Sunday, September 4, from noon until 8:00 p.m., at the Hanover Mortuary in Hanover. A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 5, at Zion Lutheran Church in Hanover. Rev. Donna Florio officiated. Mae Nieman played the organ while the congregation sang “How Great Thou Art”, “In the Garden”, “On Eagles Wings”, and “Amazing Grace”. The pallbearers were Joshua Rosebaugh, Jeffrey Rosebaugh, Andrew O’Dell, Casey Smith, Wade Steinfort, and Daniel Holle. Burial was in the Lanham Cemetery, Lanham, KS. Delmer was born October 20, 1939 near Hanover, son of William O.M. and Anna (Jasch) Holle. He graduated from Hanover High School in 1957. He married Darlene Maatsch on June 28, 1959 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lanham, Kansas. Farming and raising cattle was his life’s passion. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren’s activities, golfing and watching KU Jayhawk basketball. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Clinton Holle; grandson, Cody Holle; and sister, Darlene Longshore. Survivors include his wife, Darlene; children, Curtis Holle, Hanover, Pamela (Kevin) Rosebaugh, Topeka, Craig Holle, Hanover, and Theresa (Chad) Bruna, Hanover; grandchildren, Joshua Rosebaugh (Caprice), Courtney O’Dell (Andrew), Jennifer Rosebaugh, Jeffrey Rosebaugh, Shelby Bruna, Tasha Bruna, and Kara Bruna; great-grandchildren, Kamryn O’Dell and Kaylyn O’Dell; brothers, Arlan (Judy) Holle, Hanover, and Elvin (Shirley) Holle, Bremen; sisters, Elda Friedrichs, Bremen, and Karen Ricky, Washington; brother-in-law, Paul Longshore. A memorial fund has been established to University of Kansas Medical Center Cardiology Unit and Zion Lutheran Church. Contributions may be sent in care of the Hanover Mortuary.
