Loretta D. Bargmann, 79, of Bremen, KS, died Tuesday, August 30 at Cambridge Place in Marysville. The family will receive friends Friday, September 9, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 10 at Immanuel Lutheran Church north of Bremen. Rev. Aaron T. Fenker, Sr., will officiate. Kathy Pralle is the organist and the congregation will sing “ I Am Trusting Thee Lord Jesus” and “I Know That My Redeemer Lives.” The pallbearers will be Lynn Bargmann, John Brackett, Travis Boyer, Steven Grefe, Jean Petsch, and Carl Althouse. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Loretta was born on December 16, 1936 to Fred and Anna (Kruse) Grefe at Odell, NE. She attended Trinity Lutheran School, Hanover and was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hanover. Loretta worked as a housekeeper for several area families prior to her marriage. On May 5, 1957, she married Wilmer Bargmann at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Hanover. She was a farm wife and mother raising three children with her husband while involving herself in family, school, and church activities. Loretta was a member of Lutheran Womens Missionary League (LWML), a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Ladies Choir, and was closely involved in her children's education at Immanuel Lutheran School, Bremen. She cared for her parents in their later years. In her later years she supported her children in their vocations, enjoyed listening to church music, meditating on the scriptures, and keeping up with family and community activities. Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Annetta Grefe; and brother, Fred W. Grefe. Survivors include her husband, Wilmer; sons, Nathan Bargmann, Matthew Bargmann; daughter Naomi Bargmann; and brothers, Harold Grefe and Delbert Grefe.
