Rosalie Christine Roady, 78, of Marysville, KS, died Monday, December 26, 2016 at Marysville. Visitation was Thursday, December 29, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 30, at the United Methodist Church in Marysville. Rev. Dale Lewis officiated. Deb Landoll played the organ while Wayne Kruse sang “Because He Lives” and “Amazing Grace”. The pallbearers were Chris Butler, Ron Holle, Ed Hawkins, John Brackett, Charlie Oehm, and LeRoy Lopez. The honorary pallbearers were Gary Jorgenson, Josh Roady, Cody Schmitz, and Phil Landoll. Burial was in the Marysville City Cemetery. Rosalie was born March 25, 1938, at Oketo, KS, to John and Pearl (Warren) Volesky. She graduated from Marysville High School. She was a member of the Eagles Club. She was united in marriage to Warren L. Roady. They had three children. Rosalie worked for Parry Plumbing, Dollar General, and Walmart. She liked to read, work crossword puzzles, dancing, fishing, gardening, and taking care of her house plants. She also loved having gatherings with friends and family and celebrating Christmas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, William L. Roady; daughter, Wanda Steffes; brother, Warren (Bouse) Volesky; and sister, Linda Jorgenson. Survivors include her son, Wayne (Sharon) Roady, Marysville; five grandchildren, Sierra (Phil) Landoll, Joshua (Loralet) Roady, Shalynn (Cody) Schmitz, Jessica Roady, and Marcus Roady; four great-grandchildren, Preston and Zephry Landoll, Anna Schmitz, and Warren Roady; brother, Jack Volesky, Oketo; sisters, Sharon Albert, Beatrice, Becky Butler, Marysville, Joan Klozenbucher, Greenleaf, and Dawna Herring, Beattie.
