Wilma R. Plegge, 87, of Marysville, KS, died January 11, 2017, at Cambridge Place in Marysville. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 10, at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. Burial will be in the Marysville City Cemetery. Wilma was born June 11, 1929, at Bremen, KS, daughter of William and Rosemond (Scheele) Gleue. In 1949, she graduated from Marysville High School. On July 15, 1951, she married Herbert Plegge at Bethlehem Lutheran Church north of Bremen. While Herb was in the Service in Korea, she lived in Marysville and worked for Dr. Ackerman. When Herb returned, they lived in Colorado Springs for a short time before returning to Marysville. In 1958, they moved to their current home near Marysville. Wilma helped Herb with the farm work and their dairy business. Wilma was a member of the First Christian Church in Marysville. She enjoyed drawing, painting, cooking, and yoga. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Mert Gleue, Harold Gleue, Ray Gleue, and Vernon Gleue. Survivors include her husband, Herbert; daughter, Jean Plegge (Hugh Conover), Lawrence, KS; son, Jim (Rhonda) Plegge, San Diego, CA; brother, Bill (Shirley) Gloy, Lyndon, KS; and sisters, Lorna Slupianek, Marysville, and Mary (Nick) Nichols, Hawaiian Gardens, CA. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Meadowlark Hospice or the National Parkinson Foundation. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
