Dorothy A. Pacha, 78, of Marysville, KS, died January 11, 2017, at Lincoln, NE. Visitation was held Monday, January 16, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. A rosary service was held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, at St. Gregory's Catholic Church in Marysville. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 17, at St. Gregory's. Father Nathan Haverland officiated. Burial was in the Pecenka Cemetery south of Bremen. Dorothy was born July 11, 1938 at Axtell, KS, daughter of Paul E. and Viola T. (Coyne) Griffin. Dorothy’s mother died at an early age and she moved to Marysville with her father. In 1956, she graduated from Marysville High School. On August 3, 1957, she married Leroy F. Seng. He preceded her in death on September 10, 1962. On April 13, 1964, she married Michael Pacha at Garnett, KS. Dorothy worked for City Sewing in Marysville, at Wal-Mart from 1987 to 2010, and helped her husband on the farm. She enjoyed antiques, reading, flowers, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Gregory’s Catholic Church, St. Gregory’s Altar Society, and Saint Bridget Historical Society. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Leroy F. Seng; foster parents, William T. and Myrtle Mae Orr; and brother, Paul Griffin. Survivors include her husband, Michael Pacha; four daughters, Janet K. Seng, Chicago, IL, Linda G. Seng-Noble, Kansas City, KS, Kelly M. (Pat) Schotte, Marysville, and Lisa A. Pacha, Manhattan, KS; brother, Richard P. Griffin, Norton, KS; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
