David L. McLeod

David L. McLeod, 70, of Marysville, KS, died January 31, 2017 at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville. A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 25, at the First Christian Church in Marysville. Rev. Jerry Zanker  officiated.   Organist was Deb Landoll and Mandy Cook sang "Old Rugged Cross" and "Precious Lord, Take My Hand." "Amazing Grace" was played on the bagpipes  by William McCollum. Burial was in the Marysville City Cemetery. David was born September 20, 1946 at Marysville to Guilford and Vera (Crawford) McLeod. In 1964, he graduated from Marysville High School and Highland Junior College in 1966. David moved to Florida and worked several jobs. In 1976, he returned to Kansas and worked the next 10 years for Missouri-Valley Construction. He farmed with his dad. When his dad passed, he worked as a welder at Landoll Corporation. David spent several years as an over the road truck driver until retiring. He was a member of the First Christian Church. David enjoyed fishing, traveling, camping and walking in the woods. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his sons, Damien McLeod and Nathan McLeod, both of Marysville; close friend, Sharon Marx: sister, Nancy (Don) Livingston, Fairview, TX; brother, Jon (Billie) McLeod, Hartland, MI; and three grandchildren, Destiney, Takotah, and Stormy McLeod.
