Mary Katherine Johnson, 89, Marysville, died Friday, March 10, 2017 at Cambridge Place in Marysville. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 15, from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 16, at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. Greg Doll will officiate. Kathy Pralle will play the organ. The pallbearers will be Russ Spier, Todd Crome, Scott Crome, Lynette Heath, Curtis Johnson, Paul Oldehoeft, and Kaleb Drinkgren. The honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Spier, Ron Spier, Lance Heath, Larissa Palmer, and Mike Oldehoeft. Burial will be in the Home Cemetery, Home, KS. Mary was born at Blue Rapids, KS on October 25, 1927 to Russell and Grace (Pollock) Fincham. Mary was a homemaker and loved to cook, bake, work fill-in puzzles, raise a garden and grow flowers. She married Lawrence Johnson and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Dave Johnson; granddaughter, Valorie; sister and brother-in-law, Marg and Joe Reed; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Marilyn Fincham, Raymond and Janice Fincham; and half-sister, Sandra Cook. Survivors include her daughters, Ruth (Earl) Oldehoeft, Hanover, Rose Ann (Ralph) Spier, Clatonia, NE, Laverne (Lynn) Heath, Andover, KS, Mary Lee (Warren) Drinkgren, Bremen, Carla Johnson, Lincoln, NE, and Linda (Gary) Crome, Bremen; grandchildren, Paul Oldehoeft, Mike Oldehoeft, Ron Spier, Russ Spier, Ray Spier, Lance Heath, Lynette Heath, Larissa Palmer, Kaleb Drinkgren, Curtis Johnson, Todd Crome, and Scott Crome; and great-grandchildren, Luke, Megan, Drew, Colin Taylore, Aron, Jessie, Mallory, and Lissy Ethan, Gwyn, Levi, Nicole, Dillon, Cody,Alex, Ashley, Brett, Garrett, Kali Jo, and Gunnar. A memorial fund has been established and contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville.
