Burial will be at the Prospect Hill Cemetery near Blue Rapids, KS. Patricia was born May 24, 1951, at Lindsborg, KS, to Vern and Pearl Myers. Her early life was on the farm south of Little River, KS. She attended Rockvale Country School through the eighth grade and then Little River High School where she graduated in 1969. Pat then attended Hutchinson Junior College for two years and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Retailing from Kansas State. She also completed the Missions Course at Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO, in 1979. On June 2, 1973, she married Barry (Bill) Dunmire at Little River and their life took them to many different destinations. They lived in Emporia, KS, Hutchinson, KS, Springfield, MO, Murfreesboro, TN, and Marysville in the United States. They also lived in Coventry, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Leek, and Cannock, England, UK, and in Colwyn Bay, Wales, UK. Much of that time Pat worked with Barry in Independent Baptist Missionary work. They spent twenty-eight years planting two churches, starting a Christian Youth Camp, and building up a small church. Their last years in England were spent working at the Baptist Bible College of Great Britain. Her ‘Tea Parties’ were a particular hit with the British Ladies. There were four particular dates of importance in her life, her marriage to Barry, the day of her salvation, and the birth of her two children, Stephanie and Caleb. Her life was filled with joy and she loved to serve her Lord. After an eleven-year battle with cancer the battle was finally won July 21, 2017, and she entered the presence of her dear Lord. Her family and friends rejoice with her at the victory she now enjoys. Memorials contributions may be made to Meadowlark Hospice or the Victory Baptist Church. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary. To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Patricia Ailene Dunmire, please visit our flower store.
