Taylor White, 17, of Marysville, KS, died Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Topeka, KS, following a traffic accident. A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 9, at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church in Marysville. Father Anthony Putti officiated. A rosary service was held at 7 p.m., Thursday at the church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Hunter Lindeen, Jacob Carlson, Taylor Schotte, Kris Feldhausen, Isaac Busch, Tyler White, Caleb Jones and Jared Strunk. Taylor White was born June 17, 1992, at Marysville, the son of Kerry and Jan Joyce White. He was a junior at Marysville High School. He was a member of the MHS football and wrestling teams, Family Career and Community Leaders of America, Kays, FFA and the You Only Get Out What You Put In club. He had worked part-time at Orscheln Farm & Home for more than a year. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially his 1980 red pickup. Survivors include his parents; brother, Brandon White, Manhattan; and grandparents, Carol Joyce, Marysville, and Bill and Gail White, Fairview. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Tom Joyce. The family has established the Taylor White Memorial Fund and contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
