Jason Lee Butler, 39, Marysville, died Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Manhattan. Visitation was from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., Sunday, October 1 at Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville. The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service was at 2 p.m., Monday, October 2 at Kinsley Mortuary. Pastor Brad Wicks officiated. Music at the service was "Home," "Amazing Grace" and "Wind Beneath My Wings." The pallbearers were Josh Snellings, Matt Snellings, Travis Roudybush, Jesse Horman, Roger Horman, and Aaron McCormick. Burial was in Marysville City Cemetery. Jason was born to Steven and Joy (Frazier) Butler on January 16, 1978 at Marysville and attended the Marysville schools. He worked in construction; building houses and roofing. He was a wonderful artist and enjoyed drawing. Jason liked making people laugh and playing with his three children, and nieces and nephews. Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Freda Butler; and great-grandparents, Bud and Julia Yost. Survivors include his son, Trenton Butler, Seneca, KS; daughters, Alexandria Butler, Beatrice, NE, and Alissa Butler, Marysville; parents; brother, Josh (Torey) Butler, Marysville; sister, Jenni (Colby) Heinen, Blue Rapids, grandparents, Shirley and Howard Frazier, Marysville; and nieces and nephews, Emily Pacha, Jacy Butler, Julia Heinen and Ryder Heinen. A memorial fund is established in his name and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
