Rosemary Triska Hampston

December 2, 1908 — October 13, 2009

Rosemary Triska Hampston, 100 years old of Richmond Heights, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at her home. A rosary service was held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 20, at St. John's Catholic Church in Hanover. A funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 21, at the church. Janet Fritschi played the organ while the church choir sang. Pallbearers were Mary O'Hara, Mary Beth White, Erin Kelly, Richard Massieon, Roland Triska and Paul White. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rosemary was born December 2, 1908 at Hanover, KS, the daughter of Anton and Mary (Turinsky) Triska. She went to the Eagle Grade School and then graduated from Mount St. Scholastica Academy in Atchison, Kansas. She also went to secretary school in Kansas City. During WW II she was a secretary in Georgia. Rosemary worked for 35 years as secretary for the Jesuit Missouri Province Treasurer in St. Louis. She retired in 1983 at the age of 75. She married Raymond Hampston in 1958, and he preceded her in death in 1973. She was also preceded in death by her parents, seven sisters and two brothers. Survivors include nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, and her dear friend and caretaker Ray Kitson. Hanover Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
