Ronald L. Flower, 71, Marysville, died Monday, October 23, 2017 at the Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville. Visitation is Thursday, October 26, from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, October 27 at Kinsley Mortuary. Rev. Dale Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery. Ron was born August 18, 1946 at Blue Rapids to Merlin and Imogene (Honeycut) Flower. After graduating high school, Ron worked as a house painter and plumber. He then worked as a custodian for Valley Heights for many years. He moved to Marysville ten years ago. Ron enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping when time allowed. His favorite pet was his twenty-two-year-old cat, named Cuss. Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Debbie Flower; granddaughter, Addie; and brother, Merlin Lee Flower, Jr. Survivors include his children, Rondi Raney, Bois ‘D’ Arc, MO, Ellen Flower, Delphos, Lori Flower, Springfield, MO, Liesa Barcek, Kansas City, KS; Joe Flower, Topeka; Dan Flower, Wichita; sisters, Sherrie Johnson, Manhattan and Marilyn Guzman, Pennsylvania; numerous grandchildren and one great grandchild. A memorial fund is established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
