Jade Elizabeth Smith, 4 1/2 months, died Friday, October 23, 2009 at Manhattan, KS. A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 28, at Kinsley Mortuary. Sister Delores Dolezal, OSB, officiated. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Blue Rapids. Jade was born June 4, 2009 at Manhattan, the daughter of Carrie Abram and Jason Smith. Survivors include her parents; one brother, Trace Abram; one sister, Hailey Barta; grandmothers, Robin Huls of Manhattan, and Julie Linnemann of Seneca, KS; and great-grandmothers, Phyllis Dilley of Virginia, and Betty Smith of Beattie, KS. The Jade Smith Memorial Fund has been established and contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
