Roger Dale Seitz, 51, of Hanover, Kan., died December 19, 2017 at the Hanover Hospital. Visitation was Friday, December 22, from 1 until 8 p.m. at the Hanover Mortuary. A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 23 at Zion Lutheran Church in Hanover. Rev. Donna Florio officiated. Mae Nieman played the organ while the congregation sang “Amazing Grace.” The pallbearers were Daryl Seitz, Jeremy Larabee, Ed Steinfelt, Todd Jueneman, Scott Jueneman and Lawrence Tegtmeier. Burial was in the Hanover City Cemetery. Roger was born November 23, 1966 at Washington, Kan., to Martin and Velma (Spandel) Seitz. He graduated Hanover High School. Roger was a certified auto service technician for Ford and Polaris and worked as a mechanic in Beatrice, then his own shop. Roger was always interested in cars, especially Mustangs, loved to garden and enjoyed cats. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Stephanie; brother, Arlo Seitz, Columbus, Neb.; uncle, Carl Wineinger, Hollenberg, Kan.; and stepchildren, Jeremy Larabee and Jessica Larabee. A memorial fund is established, and contributions may be sent in care of Hanover Mortuary.
