Kenneth Schwarz, 95, of Marysville died December 29, 2017 at Cambridge Place, Marysville. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Liberty Christian Church, Liberty, Nebraska. Rev. Jim Hackel will officiate. Musicians are Elsie Sejkora, Yvonna Petitt, Jeff Schwarz and Apryl Schwarz. Music is "Amazing Grace," "I'll Fly Away" and "How Great Thou Art." Visitation will be at Kinsley Mortuary Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 10:00 am. to 9:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. that evening at Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville Pallbearers are Nathan Schwarz, Brian Schwarz, Jeff Schwarz, Ryan Schwarz, Jordan Wood, Brett Schwarz, Braden Schwarz and Eric Schwarz. Burial will be approximately noon at the Marysville Cemetery. Kenneth was born April 26, 1922 near Marysville to Otto and Netta (Hafner) Schwarz. He graduated from Marysville High School and then farmed and had a dairy northeast of Home, KS. During World War II, Kenneth served in the Army Air Corp as a gunnery instructor. He taught Sunday School, was a church elder and member of the American Legion. Kenny did carpenter work and loved woodworking. He liked to play pool at the Senior Center. Kenny dedicated his time to caring for his wife Carol during her illness. Survivors are his daughter, Laurel (Robert) Wood of Darien, IL, sons, Ted (Lee) Schwarz of Fort Worth, TX, Tim (Susan) Schwarz of Beatrice, NE, K.C. (Anne) Schwarz of Broomfield, CO, Dan (Karen) Schwarz of Beatrice, NE, Dwight (Margaretha) Schwarz of Sahuarita, AZ, Stuart (Lisa) Schwarz of Wamego; brother, Victor Schwarz of Marysville; and fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Kenny was married to Carol Tarvin on June 2, 1946 in Marysville. She preceded in death on Feb. 23, 1996. He later married Alice Stowall. She also preceded him in death as well as his sister Virginia Bigger and Great granddaughter Madison Brown. Memorial fund has been established for the Liberty Christian Church.
