Dorothy Marie Claeys

Dorothy Claeys, 82, of Marysville, died January 25, 2018 at the Frankfort Care Home. Visitation is Sunday, February 4, from noon to 3:00 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary. Funeral and burial will be private. Dorothy was born December 13, 1935, north of Herkimer to Ben and Sophie (Nieman) Hildebrandt. On February 26, 1963, she married Maurice Claeys at St. Gregory's Catholic Church in Marysville. With her husband they farmed and raised Hereford and Shorthorn cattle on the family farm northeast of Marysville. Survivors include her daughter, Ann Claeys and fiancee, Jan of Marysville; and granddaughter Scotti (Parker) Staats, Paola, Kansas. Dorothy was preceded in death by husband, Maurice in March of 2007; sister, Frances Schaefer; and brothers, Clarence, Adolph and Wayne Hildebrandt. A memorial fund had been established for the Soil Conservation program, Meadowlark Hospice and A.A.
