Wade A. James

Wade James, 49, of Lincoln, Neb., and formerly of Wymore, Neb., died February 5, 2018 at his home in Lincoln. A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 12 at Roper & Sons South Mortuary, 40th & Yankee Hill Road, Lincoln, Neb. Rev. Jon Palmquist officiated. Nate Behrends was the vocalist. Music included “I Can Only Imagine”, “Tears in Heaven” and "But It's a Nice Dream". Burial was in the Blue Springs Cemetery, Blue Springs, Neb. Wade was born February 29, 1968, at Auburn, Neb., son of Steve and Martha James. In 1986, he graduated from Wymore Southern High School. He attended and graduated from Southeast Community College and Peru State College. Wade worked for the City of Lincoln for 21 years. He served in the Finance Department as a System Software Integrator. He enjoyed watching his nephews, Joe and Kaleb, at their wrestling matches and pestering his nieces, Molly, Alyson and Brooke. Wade also enjoyed golfing, computers, his dog Max, and game nights with friends. Survivors include his parents, Steve and Martha James, Wymore; sisters, Amy (Kevin Parker) James, Marysville, and Sally (Ron Spence) Braun, St. George, Kan.; and nieces and nephews, Molly, Joe, Kaleb, Alyson and Brooke. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Ara May Zutterman, and Melvin “Doc” and Jeanette James; uncle, Joseph A. Zutterman, Jr.; and aunt, Jackie Fulton. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later.
