Geneva K. Reinhardt, 94, of Oketo, KS, died Monday, November 23, 2009 at Cambridge Place in Marysville. A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 27, at Frieden's Lutheran Church in Home, KS. Rev. Charlene Barnes officiated. Tam Johnson played the organ while the congregation sang "Just As I Am", "Amazing Grace" and "Till We Meet Again". Pallbearers were Kurt Obermeyer, Kris Obermeyer, Drew Obermeyer, Caleb Obermeyer, Roy Yungeberg, Ron Raub, Ryan Wieters and Jerry Fajen. Burial was in the north Home Cemetery. Geneva was born April 28, 1915, near Home, KS, the daughter of August and Mary (Johnson) Breunsbach. She graduated from Marysville High School in 1933. On June 5, 1935, she married Lloyd Reinhardt at Frieden's Lutheran Church. They were married 52 years. Geneva taught for 2 years at Midway Country School north of Home and later drove a school bus for 22 years. She was a member of Frieden's Lutheran Church and Ladies Aide of Frieden's. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and raising chickens and selling eggs. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd; and one sister, Beulah Couch. Survivors include one daughter, LoAllen Obermeyer and husband Kent; two sons, Larry Reinhardt, Dick Reinhardt and wife Sharon, all of Oketo; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A memorial fund has been established to the Community Memorial Healthcare Building Fund. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
