Arnold "Arnie" L. Volle, 71, of Summerfield, KS, died Friday, December 18, 2009, at Cambridge Place in Marysville. A funeral service was held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, December 21, at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. Gary Phillips officiated. Bob Welch played the organ while Pat Breeding sang "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art". The pallbearers were Jack Detweiler, Robert Genschorck, Bill Osterhaus, Gary Bergmann, Rod Craig and Martin Volle. Burial was in the Summerfield Cemetery. Arnie was born August 14, 1938, near Summerfield, KS, the son of Albert and Minnie (Transue) Volle. He enjoyed the outdoors and helping his brothers, Norman and Loren Volle, around the farm and hauling grain. Survivors include his two brothers, Norman and Loren Volle, both of Summerfield. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Mervin Volle in 1990. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated at a later date.
