Patricia West

Patricia "Pat" West, 74, of Marysville, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2010 at her home. A rosary service was held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, at St. Gregory's Catholic Church in Marysville. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, at the church. Father Anthony Putti and Father Gary Pennings officiated. Bob Welch played the organ while the church choir sang “Here I Am Lord”, “Amazing Grace”, “On Eagles Wings”, “You Are Mine” and “How Great Thou Art”. Burial was in St. Gregory's Catholic Cemetery. Pat was born April 6, 1936 at Fall River, KS, daughter of Gilmore and Cleora (Brannaman) Jolly. She graduated from Wichita East High School. On September 1, 1961, she married Dwayne West. Along with her husband and her brother and his wife, they owned and operated Jolly West IGA in Blue Rapids, KS, from 1971-1975. In 2001 she retired from Boeing Aircraft in Wichita. Pat was a member of St. Gregory's Catholic Church and Altar Society. Survivors include her husband Dwayne; three sons, Mike West and wife Fanita, Wichita, Gary West and wife Lucy, Marysville, Bill West and wife Allison, Gunnison, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jerry Jolly; and sister-in-law, Loretta Jolly. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated at a later date.
