Robert A. Emery

Robert A. Emery, 73, of Beattie passed away Monday, May 3, 2010 at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville. A funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 7, at Kinsley Mortuary. The Rev. Dennis Holst officiated. Laura O'Neil played the organ. The pallbearers were Ron Kulp, Brad Nelson, David Taylor, Mark Runnebaum, Donald Stock, Nicholas McClung and Greg Taylor. Burial was in the Marysville City Cemetery. Robert was born on February 26, 1937 at Marysville, the son of Cecil and Dorothy Fletcher Booth Emery. In 1988 he came to live and work at Twin Valley Developemental Services in Greenleaf and then moved to Twin Valley in Beattie. He is survived by cousins, June and Leon Myers and Dallas Whitlinger all of Marysville, brother, Earl "Butch" Busey of Topeka, and sister Debbie Lynch of Weeki Wachi, Fl. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents who helped raise him, Ossie and Abraham Fletcher, two sisters, Mary Ann Busey and Alice Joyce Busey. He was also preceded in death by his dear companion, Elsie Bernice Elam on June 25, 1999. He will be buried next to her.
