Linda Pearl Jorgenson

Linda Jorgenson, 58, of Marysville, died early Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at her home. A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 15 at the United Methodist Church in Marysville. The Rev. Dale Lewis officiated. Deb Landoll played the organ while Valerie Oltman sang “Old Rugged Cross” and “I’ll Fly Away”. The pallbearers were Ray Hall, Lynn Roady, Ed Hawkins, Dennis Kane, Chris Hanson and Michael Jorgenson. Burial was in the Marysville City Cemetery. Linda was born January 14, 1952 at Marysville, the daughter of Hiram and Pearl (Warren) Herring. She graduated from Marysville High School in 1970. On February 27, 1988 she married Gary Jorgenson at Glad Tidings Church in Marysville. Linda read water meters for the City of Marysville. She enjoyed fishing and going on casino trips. Linda was a hard worker and had a good sense of humor. She was also a kind and giving person, always putting others ahead of herself. At Easter she would put on a dinner and Easter egg hunt with the biggest prize being a five dollar bill, the children really enjoyed this. Survivors include her husband, Gary; daughter, Lisa Stevenson and husband Eddie, Waterville; three grandchildren, Savannah, Sienna, and Hunter Stevenson; siblings, Dawna Herring, Beattie, Becky Benkendorf and Rosalie Roady, both of Marysville, Sharon Albert, Beatrice, NE, Jack Volesky, Oketo, and Joan Klozenbucher, Greenleaf. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Warren Volesky; and two nephews. Memorials will be designated at a later date and can be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
