Lulu E. Hiesterman, 96, of Hanover, KS, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2010 at the Hanover Hospital. Visitation will be Thursday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at the Hanover Mortuary. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 18, at Trinity Lutheran Church, north of Hanover. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Lulu was born December 15, 1913 near Bremen, KS, daughter of Karl and Anna Hornbostel Pralle. On January 27, 1935, she married Emil Hiesterman at Bremen. They farmed in the Linn, Herkimer, Bremen and Hanover area. Lulu was a homemaker. She was a volunteer at the Hanover Hospital and she enjoyed making quilts and playing cards. Survivors include two daughters, Irene Laue of Hanover, Anita Nespor and husband Maurice of Reno, Nevada; son, Delmer Hiesterman of Missoula, Montana; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Dr. Herman Hiesterman of Quinter, KS; and two sister-in-laws, Elvenor Pralle of Bremen, and Dorothy Burns of Boulder, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Emil Hiesterman, on April 7, 1993; brothers, Clarence, Gilbert, Edgar, Elmer, and Victor Pralle; sisters, Edna Dierking and Leona Grote; daughter-in-law, Joyce Hiesterman; and son-in-law, Quentin Laue. Memorials can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church and can be sent in care of the Hanover Mortuary.
