Marguerite R. Stock

Marguerite Ruth Stock, 84, of Marysville, died Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Nemaha Valley Community Hospital in Seneca. She had been a resident of Frankfort Community Care Home since December 19, 2009. A funeral service was held at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 29 at the First Christian Church in Marysville. Rev. Jerry Zanker officiated. Burial was in the Home Cemetery, Home, Kansas. Marguerite was born on March 16, 1926 at Home, Kansas, the daughter of Ora Ray and Lorene Nannetta Kennedy Dalrymple. She married Virgil L. Stock on March 14, 1945 at Hiawatha, Kansas. She was a telephone operator, homemaker and worked alongside Virgil in their farming operation. Marguerite was a member of the First Christian Church, Lots of Fun Club, Busy Hour Club, Jayhawker Club and CWF. Survivors include her husband, Virgil L. Stock, son, Robert and his wife Karen of Marysville, daughter Debbie Johnson and her husband Wilbur of Home, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, sister, Nancy Raub of Frankfort, and 44 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, Connie Sue, brothers, Harry, Lawrence, Glenn, and Alvin Dalrymple. A memorial fund has been established to the American Diabetes Association. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
