Robert Daniel Harris, 79, of Marysville, died Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville. A funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 26 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Marysville. Brother Michael Luckeroth gave the talk. The congregation sang "Life Without End At Last" and "He Will Call". The pallbearers were Joseph Harris, Brandon Amye, Jeremy Amye, Le Martin, Steve Scritchfield and Bill Flower. Burial was in the Marysville City Cemetery. Robert was born to Nettie (Powel) and Bland Harris on March 31, 1931 in Rockfish, Virginia. He completed high school at Nelson High in Shipman, Virginia. Robert moved to New York and was employed as a barber. Robert met Bertha Rene Canada of Bronx, New York. In December of 1950, they were married, to this union two children were born, Linda Denise and Bruce Allen. Robert never met any strangers. He was a talker and a very friendly person. Later in his life he returned back to Jehovah. He remained faithful until his death on October 19, 2010. Our dear Brother Robert Harris is now awaiting Gods promised resurrection on paradise earth where death will be no more. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Nettie and Bland Harris; brothers, Bland, Jr., Roy and Mack Harris; and niece, Debbie Waller. Survivors include his daughter, Linda Denise (Willie) Amye; son, Bruce Allen Harris; sisters, Helen Estelle, Lois Morse and Mary Emily (Frank) Coeman; brother, Joseph Louis (Helene) Harris; granddaughters, Monique Michele and Lauren Daniele Amye; grandsons, Brandon Willie and Jeremy Arthur Amye; great-grandchildren, Kaela Lewis and Robert Lee Jordan, IV; twelve nieces and nephews; a multitude of spiritual brothers and sisters from the Marysville, Kansas Congregation.
