Andrew Mayer

Andrew Mayer, 91, of Frankfort, died December 11, 2020 at Frankfort Community Care Home. A private graveside service with the immediate family is being planned at the Antioch Cemetery at a later date. Andy was born June 14, 1929 at Rocky Ford, CO to Andrew and Maude Mayer. He attended schools in Rocky Ford. He was blessed with four children from his first marriage, Gwen, Robert, Bruce and Tracy. They divorced and in 1985, he was united in marriage to Norma Dainty. Andy was a member of the Frankfort United Methodist Church and served as a trustee. He belonged to the Masons, Odd Fellows, American Legion and VFW. Andy was in the Navy from 1947 to 1952 and served in the South Pacific. Survivors include his wife, Norma; children, Gwen (Rick), Robert (Jeanette), Bruce (Kay), and Tracy (Rosa), all from Colorado; stepson, Steve (Karen), Frankfort, seven grandchildren, three step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren. A memorial fund is established to Frankfort Community Care Home or a charity of the donor’s choice. Contributions may be sent in care of Padden Funeral Chapel.
