Anne Ludmilla Feldkamp, 98, of Manhattan, KS, died Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Via Christi Village in Manhattan.
Visitation was Sunday, September 24, from 5:30 until 7 p.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Hanover, and a Vigil Service followed at 7 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 25 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Hanover. Father David Metz, Father Frank Coady, Father Don Zimmerman, Father Jerome Morgan and Deacon Buzz Harris officiated. The musicians were Janet Fritschi and Matthew Feldkamp. Music included, "Sing With All the Saints in Glory", "Ave Maria", "You Are Mine", "O Sacrament Most Holy" and "On Eagles Wings."
The pallbearers were Patrick Feldkamp, Andrew Feldkamp, Chris Gerstner, Randy Gerstner, Scott Morel, Jarrod Nowak, Joe Feldkamp and Josh Feldkamp.
Burial was in the church cemetery.
Anne was born on March 11, 1925, in Bremen, KS, to John J. and Katherine (Jedlicka) Sedlacek. She attended St. John’s Catholic School and graduated from Hanover High School. Anne worked for McGrades in Marysville and later for Southwestern Bell Telephone in Salina.
On August 22, 1950, she was united in marriage to Raymond Feldkamp at St. John’s Catholic Church. After she raised her family of nine children, she worked many years at her son’s furniture stores as a sales clerk, retiring at the age of 83.
Anne enjoyed music, dancing, playing piano, bingo and an occasional visit to the casinos. Most of all, she loved going to dances and listening to her children play for dances.
She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Manhattan, St. Thomas Ladies, and Daughters of Isabella at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church when she lived in Marysville.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Raymond, on May 6, 2022; parents; siblings, John Sedlacek, Kathryn Sedlacek, Francis Sedlacek, Mary Ann Sedlacek, Joseph Sedlacek, Wesley Sedlacek; and two grandchildren, Michael Gerstner and Garrett Feldkamp.
Survivors include her nine children, Jeanie (Dan) Gerstner, Kansas City, MO, John (Sandi) Feldkamp, Manhattan, Dr. Tim Feldkamp, Kansas City, MO, Marilyn (Randy) Morel, Lenexa, Mike (Kate) Feldkamp, Lenexa, Debbie (Brett) Nowak, McPherson, Gregg (Jeannie) Feldkamp, Janesville, MN, Mark (Julia) Feldkamp, Punta Gorda, FL and David (Tammy) Feldkamp, Manhattan; twenty-nine grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren.
A memorial fund is established to St. John’s Catholic Cemetery or St. John’s Catholic School. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary, 1006 Broadway, Marysville, KS 66508.
