Arthur M. Pacha, 96, of Marysville, Kan., died Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville.Visitation was Wednesday, April 11, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville.A rosary service was at 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 11 at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church in Marysville.Mass of Christian Burial was held at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, April 12, at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church. Father Nathan Haverland officiated. Musicians were Rosemary Forst,  Ron and Fran Grauer.  Hymns were “Only a Shadow,” “How Great Thou Art,” “On Eagles Wings,” “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Near to the Heart of God.” Pallbearers were Vincent Pacha, Tim Pacha, Kode Pacha, Bryant Frerking, Jay Frerking, Kevin Parmentier  and Dan Parmentier.  Honorary pallbearers were Darrell Wilson, Dan Pacha, Dan Reynolds, Robert Pacha, Nathan Parmentier and David Lord. Burial was in the Marysville City Cemetery.Arthur was born March 5, 1922 to Vincent and Lenora (Rombeck) Pacha on the family farm near Marysville.Art farmed with his family and in 1942 joined the U.S. Air Force. He was a Prisoner of War from January of 1944 to May of 1945.  After his honorable discharge he returned to Marysville and worked for Howell Lumber for thirty-six years.  He helped his son, Steve, for thirteen years doing carpentry.Art loved to play cards and go to the casinos.  He was a member of the V.F.W, D.A.V., American Legion and Historical Society.  Art was also a member of St. Gregory’s Catholic Church.He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Theodore, Albert, Bernard, Leo and Leonard; and sisters, Dorothy Stevens and Viola Reynolds.Survivors include his wife, Lorene Pacha, Bremen, Kan.; children, Mary Parmentier, Kan., Topeka, Jean (Randy) Frerking, Marysville, and Steven (Sherilyn) Pacha, Herkimer, Kan., ; nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; brother, Raymond Pacha, Marysville; and sisters, Patty Funke, Fargo, ND, and Gertrude Andersen, Perryville, KY.A memorial fund is established and will be designated later.  Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
