Barbara J. Adams

Barbara June Adams, 83, Marysville, died Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Cambridge Place in Marysville. Barbara was born to Loyd and Katie (Bailey) Adams on June 30, 1937 in Holdenville, OK. After graduating high school, she earned her bachelor’s degree at Oklahoma State University in Bartlesville, OK. Barbara worked as a teacher during the 60’s, and for several years at Mountain Bell Electronics Warehouse. She also earned a degree in nursing. She belonged to a variety of organizations, YMCA of the Rockies, The Colorado Trail, Yester Year Singers of Thornton, CO, Book Clubs and Thornton Senior Center. Hiking Colorado trails, flower gardening and feeding birds, rabbits and small creatures in her back yard were some of her most loved enjoyments. She was highly intelligent and was a lover and caretaker of God’s earth. Barbara loved to sing and sang with her friend, Patricia Greenman and they did skits for the retirement villages. She was very musical with an opera like soprano voice. She had a sister, Nancy Adams; and is survived by her friend, Patricia Greenman.
