Bill Leroy Bramhall, 95, Vermillion, died Tuesday, June 4 at the Frankfort Community Care Home, Frankfort. A funeral service was held at 10 a.m., Monday, June 10 at the United Methodist Church, Frankfort. Rev. Jim Akins officiated. Musicians were Jody Turnbull and Lynn Bramhall. Hymns were “Amazing Grace” and “On Eagles Wings.” Burial was in the Vermillion Cemetery. Bill was born August 18, 1924 at a farm near Vermillion to Joseph and Violet (Snider) Bramhall. He married Arletta Belveal in 1943 they were married for 66 amazing years. She preceded him in death in 2011 He is also preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; two sons, John Bramhall and Ron Bramhall; and two grandsons, Bradley and William. Survivors include daughters, Sonja (Alan) Winslow, Topeka, Donna Bramhall, Marysville, Nan Lisher, Frankfort; four grandchildren, Regina Bramhall, Ryan Bramhall, Kylie Bramhall and Abby Kirk; and six great grandchildren. Bill enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren on the farm. his only request was that they were quiet during the mid-day in Kansas report on channel 13. He was an extremely hard worker and finally retired from farming and raising cattle at the spry age of 92. He served on the noble township for many years. He was known for his colorful language that all his grandchildren have proudly inherited. A memorial fund has been established to the Vermillion cemetery.
