Cami Kay Friedrichs

April 7, 2022 — September 6, 2024

Marysville

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Cami Kay Friedrichs who left us far too soon on September 6, 2024, at Children’s Nebraska in Omaha. While her time with us was brief, she gave immeasurable joy and love to all.

Cami was born on April 7, 2022, to her parents, Ryan and Melissa (Faxon) Friedrichs, in Marysville. From the very beginning, her radiant spirit shone bright. Cami faced challenges with remarkable strength; diagnosed with cancer in November 2023, she underwent chemotherapy with the spirit of a true warrior. On February 11, 2024, she triumphed with a successful liver transplant, her courage inspiring all around her. Although she bravely battled her illness, her journey took her through many hospital visits as her immune system struggled to recover.

Cami's love for life was evident in her laughter and playful demeanor. She cherished her siblings, Korie and Case, and together they created countless precious memories filled with laughter. Whether she was playing outside or watching animals, Cami found joy in the simplest of moments. Her favorite color was pink, but nothing delighted her more than purple popsicles. She loved to sing and dance along to "Old McDonald Had a Farm" and "Jesus Loves Me," and she could often be found lost in the magical world of "Cocomelon" or watching "Moana" many times over.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Glenn Schwab, Audrey Faxon, Fred and Ruth Friedrichs, Bill and Emma Baehr, and Delbert DeBuhr.

She leaves behind her loving parents, Ryan and Melissa Friedrichs; siblings, Korie and Case; and grandparents, Dave and Betty Friedrichs of Marysville, and John W. and Teresa Faxon of Odell, NE. Cami will also be lovingly remembered by her great-grandparents, Nelvadeen DeBuhr Schwab and John E. Faxon of Beatrice, NE; aunts, uncles, and cousins, including Kevin and Jessica Friedrichs and children Clara, Emmett, Hannah, and Violet; Kari and Dan Bigham and children Lane and Eva; Crystal and Jason Brincks and son Malachi; and J.D. and Payton Faxon and son Hayden.

Visitation took place on Wednesday, September 11, from 5-9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary, with the family welcoming friends from 5-7 p.m.

A funeral service celebrating Cami's life was held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 12, at the Marysville Methodist Church, officiated by Pastor Dale Lewis.

Her uncles, Kevin Friedrichs, Dan Bigham, Jason Brincks, and J.D. Faxon, served as pallbearers.

Cami was laid to rest in the Zion/Mt. Calvary Cemetery north of Herkimer.

In loving memory of Cami, a memorial fund has been established, with contributions to be designated later. Donations can be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
