Catherine Price, 96, of Marysville, KS, died January 7, 2020 at Cambridge Place in Marysville. Visitation was Friday, January 10, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary. A rosary service was held at 7:00 p.m., Friday at St. Gregory's Catholic Church in Marysville. A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 11 at St. Gregory's Catholic Church. Father Nathan Haverland officiated. Rosemary Forst played the organ while the church choir sang “Here I Am Lord”, “Servant Song”, “Bread, Blessed and Broken”, “You Are Mine” and “I Have Loved You”. The pallbearers were Robert Peschel, Spencer Price, Skyler Price, Eric Berger, Matthew Peschel, Michael Peschel, Brian Price and Reid Walker. The honorary pallbearers were Lisa Walker, Susan Deraney, Jessica Zutterman, Becky Berger, Jennifer Ray, Amy Murphy, Crystal Koeneke, Ashley Mohr and Sarah Legleiter. Burial was in the church cemetery. Catherine was born February 13, 1923 near Hanover, KS, to Mathias and Anna (Nespor) Benda. On October 7, 1946, she was united in marriage to Carl Lee Price at St. John’s Catholic Church in Hanover. To this union six children were born. Catherine helped her husband at Price Auto Supply in Marysville from 1958 until 1983 when they sold the business to their son, Greg. In retirement, they enjoyed many years of traveling in their motor home throughout the United States where they made many friends. They also enjoyed spending time with their families at reunions, events and get-togethers. Catherine enjoyed playing cards, fishing, embroidering, cooking and trying new recipes. She was a member of St. Gregory’s Catholic Church and Altar Society and former member of the Moose Lodge and Black Squirrel Campers. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lee on July 24, 2010; son, David Lee Price; sisters, Francis Wilson, Marie Schuessler Duncan, Bernice Claeys and Dolores Masek; brother, Clarence Benda; daughter-in-law, Drusilla Price; grandson, Kurtis Berger; and two great-grandchildren, Grace and Beau Berger. Survivors include five children, Nancy (Joe) Peschel, Marysville, Jim Price, Home, Larry (Sue) Price) Paradise Valley, AZ, Greg (Deb) Price, Marysville, and Janet (Ivan) Berger, Waterville; sister, Ruth McAnany, Shawnee, KS; sixteen grandchildren and thirty-six great-grandchildren. A memorial fund has been established to St. Gregory's Catholic School or Church. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
