Charles "Chuck" R. Wilkinson

Charles "Chuck" R. Wilkinson, 69, of Barnes, KS, passed into the loving arms of the Lord on March 18, 2023, at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville. Visitation will be Thursday, March 23, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary. A vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday at St. Gregory's Catholic Church in Marysville. Father Jim Shaughnessy will officiate. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 24, at St. Gregory's Catholic Church. Father Quentin Schmitz will officiate. The musicians will be Rosemary Forst and Paula Landoll-Smith. Music will include "Here I Am Lord", "Psalm 23", "The Servant Song", "Gift of Finest Wheat", "Song of Farewell" and "On Eagles Wings." The pallbearers will be Bill Wilkinson, Bob Wilkinson, Mike Wilkinson, Ryan Haverkamp, John Diederich and Jay Hynek. The honorary pallbearers will be Brooks Wilkinson, Landon Wilkinson, Ryleigh Wilkinson, Logan Wilkinson, Morgan Wilkinson, Kendra Wilkinson, Amari Braithwaite, Alana Wilkinson, Austin Wilkinson, Brady Haverkamp and Garrett Haverkamp. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Chuck was born on June 28, 1953, in Marysville, to Donald and Carolyn (Ware) Wilkinson. After graduating from Hanover High School in 1971, he attended Cloud County Community College. He was employed at the Barnes Coop Oil and Georgia Pacific in Blue Rapids. Chuck also farmed with his father and brother. It was a hobby of his to upkeep his yard on the farm. Chuck was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Carolyn Wilkinson. Survivors include his wife, Judy; daughter, Judy (Ryan) Haverkamp, Beattie, KS; sons, Robert Wilkinson, Barnes, Michael (Traci) Wilkinson, Marysville, and William (Maggie) Wilkinson, Liberty, MO; grandchildren, Austin and Alana Wilkinson, Marysville; Brady and Garrett Haverkamp, Beattie, Morgan Wilkinson, Kansas City, MO, Kendra Wilkinson, Liberty, MO, Ryleigh and Logan Wilkinson, Marysville, Landon and Brooks Wilkinson, Liberty, MO; great-granddaughter, Amari Braithwaite, Kansas City, MO; brother, Don (Donna) Wilkinson, Hanover, KS; many nieces and nephews; and his dog, Stanley. A memorial fund has been established to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
