Chelsie L. Oatney, 32, of Marysville, KS, died September 10, 2022, in Florence, KS. Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, September 18, at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. The family received friends from 4 to 6 p.m. A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 19, at Marysville Christian Fellowship. Brad Wicks officiated. The pallbearers were Rustin Otney, Dakota Mills, Clint Weber, Andrew Weber, Mel Pralle, Jared Oatney, Jonathon Oatney and Tobby Oatney. The honorary pallbearers were Addison Weber, Lensey Weber, Brogan Dragisic, Dimiti Dragisic, Victoria Otney, Adley Chartier, Drayden Chartier, Layla Mills, Olivia Otney, Amell Gerleve, Thyrie Gerleve, Kelton Hunninghake, Conner Plegge, Ryleigh Plegge, Bentley Plegge and Eliana Plegge. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery in Waterville. Chelsie was born August 4, 1990, to Tobby Oatney and Shanna Otney in Clay Center, KS. She attended high school in Marysville and graduated in 2009. She worked in telemarketing for OMNI Interactions and as a CNA in Marysville and Washington. Most recently she was a dispatcher in training. Fishing, attending demo derbies and Figure 8 races were some of her favorite activities to do. Chelsie also enjoyed horses, helping her dad rebuild cars and talking wedding plans with her mom. She was preceded in death by her infant twin sons, Harrison Otis Weber and Russell Eugene Weber; grandfather, Allen Oatney and brother, Brady Mills. Survivors include her fiancé, Larry Weber; children, Addison and Lensey Weber; father, Tobby (Renea) Oatney, Washington, KS; mother, Shanna (Dave Herring) Otney, Wilmington, DE; siblings, Kendall Oatney, Iola, KS, Dakota (Sierra Evans) Mills, Marysville, Shaela (Travis) Chartier, Concordia, KS, Larissa Mills, Washington and Maddison Mills, Clay Center, KS; grandparents, Larry and Maxine Plegge, Marysville, Ron and Kathie Otney, Marysville, Carl and Bonnie Pfizenmaier, Morganville, KS and Carolyn Gilbert, Clay Center.; aunts and uncles, Brent (Julie) Plegge, Iola, KS, Kristel (John) Dragisic, Moruya, Australia, Rustin (Gigi) Otney, Quincey, IL and Jenalee Hunninghake, Marysville.
