Connie I. Jacques

Connie Ilene Jacques, 77, died Thursday, May 6, 2021 at her home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., June 12 at the First Christian Church in Marysville. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Connie was born August 18, 1943 at Marysville, KS, to Clarence and Violet (Parker) Freeby. In 1961, she graduated from Marysville High School. On March 10, 1962, she was united in marriage to Ronald Jacques. After high school Connie worked for Omaha Mutual Insurance in Omaha, NE. Later, Connie and Ron moved to Portland, OR, where she worked for Alpine-Plywood Veneer Company. After returning to Marysville, she worked at Marysville Mutual Insurance and then Valley Vet for over ten years. She retired at the age of 50. Connie was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, watching movies and quilting. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Marysville where she would happily donate time. Her top priority was her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jeff Jacques; and sisters, Donna Langley and Nancy Pelham. Survivors include her husband, Ron; son, Darren (Julie) Jacques, Lawrence; sisters, Joyce (Ron) Keim, Choctaw, OK, and Kathy (Keith) Klover, Wymore, NE; and two granddaughters, Andrea and Alicia Jacques. A memorial fund has been established to the First Christian Church, M-ACT or Union Pacific Depot. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
