Creta K. Bronaugh, 79, Frankfort, died Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Blue Valley Nursing Home, Blue Rapids, Kan. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Frankfort City Cemetery. Creta was born July 18, 1940 at Wakeeney, Kan. to William and Jean (Armstrong) Dittemore. In 1958, she graduated Frankfort High School. On January 5, 1964, she was united in marriage to Carol E. Bronaugh. To this union were born two children. Early in their marriage, they lived in Topeka, later moving back to Frankfort where they opened Bronaugh Floral and Garden Center. For many years she worked long hard hours to bring the beauty of flowers to many people, taking great pride in her work. If she didn’t like it, she would take it apart and start over. In her free time, Creta enjoyed traveling, reading and cooking for friends and family. Survivors include her children, Troy Bronaugh, Amber Bronaugh, both of Frankfort; granddaughter, Kala Bronaugh; sister, Connie (David) Keck, Windsor, CO; aunt, JoAnn Keaster, Cokee, AL; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carol in August of 2018; and sister, Karen Zimmerman.
