Bubba was born on October 3, 1973, in Beatrice, NE, to Arlan and Judy (Scheele) Holle. Bubba, along with his older sisters Sheila and Shelly, were raised on a farm outside of Hanover, KS. They spent their childhood helping their parents on the farm with cattle, pigs, and crops. The family enjoyed taking summer vacations together, after a good rain when there was no fieldwork to be done. Bubba and his sisters enjoyed being outside building forts, playing in the creek, riding bikes, and shooting BB guns. They were also known to run wild during their dad’s softball games and parents card parties. Bubba was often the kid to come in at night with boots full of dirt and needing a new hole patched in his jeans.

Bubba was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bremen, KS on October 14, 1973 and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Hanover, KS on May 22, 1988.

Bubba graduated from Hanover High School in 1992. He went on to attend Kansas State University where he majored in shenanigans.

On October 9, 2004, Bubba was united in marriage to Ashley Stohs at the United Methodist Church in Marysville. In this marriage, Bubba took on a fatherly role to their daughter, Shaelyn Jade, who he later adopted and gave his family name to. In 2007 Bubba and Ashley welcomed Carson Dale into their family, and in 2013 were surprised to find out they would welcome another little blessing, Camrie Noelle, to complete their family.

Bubba spent many years working carpentry alongside his dad, Arlan, where he learned many lifelong skills that he used in various areas of his life. He was a math whiz and could figure any measurements or calculations at the drop of a hat. He began working at Midwest Products in 1993 and worked his way up to the title of Superintendent. Bubba was not only dedicated to his work, but to his clients and coworkers as well. The Midwest crew was seen as a second family to Bubba, as well as his wife and kids. Over his 32 years, Bubba, alongside Jay, built quite the camaraderie between these men that continued beyond working hours.

In his free time, Bubba could be found playing a round of golf with friends, fishing with his children, taking the family out for a country cruise to look for deer, or tinkering at the shop on the race car. Bubba and his best friend, Jeff, spent many long days and late nights preparing for their next crazy cruiser race. On any given fall Saturday, you could find Bubba and Ashley, alongside Greg and Jenna, cheering on the KSU Wildcats at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. A majority of summer days were spent following his girls from one softball field to the next. As a father to Carson, he took great pride in having that ornery little shadow follow him around, learning his ways. He was a family man and supported his children in all they did.

Bubba was strong and resilient and could overcome any hardship he was faced with. He spent the majority of his life in Hanover, KS, where he knew no stranger. Bubba’s family would like him to be remembered as the guy with the smart-ass comments, heart of gold, and the best story-teller. The way that Bubba told stories made you feel like you were there reliving the moment. He could effortlessly bring waves of laughter to a silent room and lighten the mood in any situation. To know Bubba was to love him.

Preceding him in death is his father, Arlan Holle; father-in-law, Robert Stohs; and grandparents, Fritz and Viola Scheele and William and Anna Holle.

Survivors include his wife, Ashley; children, Shaelyn (Tanner Stolzenberger) Holle, Morrill, Carson (Riley Hillman) Holle, and Camrie Holle; mother, Judy Holle, Hanover; sisters, Sheila (Darrell Crooks) Holle, Pomona, and Shelly Holle, Overland Park; mother-in-law, Lori Stohs (Dave) Lindahl, sisters-in-law, Jenna (Greg) Meyer, and Haley Stohs; nieces and nephews, Mikayla (Kobryn Mann) Leakey, Rutlee Meyer, Adelynn Finley, Dirks Finley and Cole Finley; grandparents-in-law, Frank and Sherry Naaf; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Hanover Mortuary, c/o Kinsley Mortuary, P.O. Box 147, Marysville, KS 66508.
