Dawna Herring, 69, Beattie, died Monday, April 27, 2020. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 30, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville. A private graveside service will be held Friday, May 1 at the Deer Creek Cemetery. Rev. Dale Lewis will officiate. Due to the “Stay-at -Home” mandate we will be broadcasting the service live from the Kinsley Mortuary Facebook page at 10:30 a.m., Friday. For those who cannot attend please sign Dawna's online guestbook and leave a condolence. Dawna was born on June 20, 1950 at Marysville to Hiram and Pearl (Warren) Herring. She attended Martin Lutheran School. She worked various jobs at Twin Valley Developmental Workshop in Beattie for 40 years. Dawna loved country music, dancing, hugs with family and friends, Pepsi, long hair, jewelry, animals, and swinging on the swing her Dad made for her as a child. Survivors include sisters, Rebecca Butler, Marysville, Sharon Albert, Beatrice, NE., Joan Klozenbucher, Greenleaf; brother, Jack Volesky, Oketo; brother-in-law, Gary Jorgenson, Marysville; niece Lisa Stevenson, Manhattan; and many other nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; sisters, Linda Jorgenson, Rosalie Roady; and brother, Warren Volesky. A memorial fund is established and will be designated later.
