Delores G. Gastmann, 87, died Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Cambridge Place, Marysville. Visitation was from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, April 13, at Kinsley Mortuary. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service was held 10 a.m., Saturday, April 14, at Stateline Immanuel Lutheran Church, north of Marysville. Rev. Suzanne How officiated. Organist was Mary Lou Retchless and the congregation sang "Lift High the Cross," ""On Eagle's Wings" and "What a Friend We Have in Jesus."Pallbearers were Ivan Bartels, Brian Tjaden, Ryan Tjaden, Delmar Schotte, Fred Lienemann and Clayton Saathoff. Burial was in the Marysville City Cemetery. Delores was born at Herkimer, Kan. on August 4, 1930 to Martin and Elsa (Kracht) Lutjemeier. She attended grade school at Herkimer and graduated from Marysville High School in 1948. On October 30, 1948, she married William “Bill” Gastmann and to this union they had two children, Gary and Kathy. Delores worked as a bookkeeper for Sears Roebuck in Kansas City until she and Bill moved back to Marysville. In Marysville, she was a bookkeeper for Meyers Chevrolet and their business, Lone Elm Service. She ran the telephone service in Herkimer, worked for Farm Credit Services, Daylight Donut and retired from Boogarrts. Delores was a member of Stateline Immanuel Lutheran Church and was active in the church. She attended project day, where members of the church tied quilts two Mondays a month and they worked at Habitat once a month. She enjoyed coffee Thursdays and pot luck Fridays at Marysville Senior Living and playing cards and visiting at Marysville Agency on Aging. In her earlier years, she enjoyed camping with the grandchildren. Delores also enjoyed sewing and cross stitching. She was a member of the Jayhusker Antique Auto Club. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Bill on February 25, 2012; brother, Marvin Lutjemeier; brothers-in-law, Harm Gastmann, Clarence Klover, Don Gastmann, Bill Hayes and Russell Messick; sisters-in-law, Jenny Messick, Mary Gastmann, Gertie Hayes and Delores Lutjemeier. Survivors include her children, Gary Gastmann, Marysville, Kathy (Mike) Wilson, Bremen; sister-in-law, Heneritta (Clarence) Oltman, Wymore, Neb.; brother-in-law, Leonard Gastmann, Lincoln, Neb.; grandchildren, Diane (Rob) Houk, Marissa (Gary) Kepley, Dustin (Kirstyn) Wilson; and great grandchildren, Grady and Madison Kepley; nieces and nephews. A memorial fund is established and contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville.
