Delphina Caroline Colvin, 83, Frankfort, died Monday, October 14, 2019 at Frankfort Community Care Home, Frankfort, KS. Visitation was held from noon until 8 p.m., Thursday, October 17 at Padden Funeral Chapel, Frankfort. The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service was at 10 a.m., Friday, October 18 at Annunciation Catholic Church, Frankfort. Father Mathew Francis officiated. Organist was Jane Sedlacek and the hymns were "Here I Am Lord," "Amazing Grace," “On Eagles Wings” and “How Great Thou Art.” Pallbearers were grandsons, Blake White, Cole Slifer, Chance Slifer, Paden Colvin, Levon Colvin and Hunter Boyle. Burial was in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lillis. On September 21, 1936, Delphina was born to Michael and Imogene (Hazlett) McGeeney at Lillis, KS. She married Dewitt “Wes” Colvin and together they had seven children, Candy, Natalie, Scott, Richard, Kelly, Shawn and Shannon. Delphina was a 4-H Leader in ceramics and enjoyed hunting, with Shannon and friends. She was a lifeguard, in her younger years and worked 30 years in the dietary department of the Frankfort Community Care Home. She liked watching the Chiefs, KC Royals and NASCAR. Preceding her in death were her parents; and husband, Dewitt. Survivors include children, Candy Colvin, Frankfort, Natalie (Jim Pacha) Slifer, Marysville, Scott Colvin, Richard (Sara) Colvin, Kelly Colvin, Shawn Colvin and Shannon (Kevan) Colvin, all of Frankfort; sister, Jackie Turnbull, Vermillion; and twelve other siblings; eleven grandchildren, Blake (Heather) White, Courtnay Slifer, Cole Slifer, Chance Slifer, Addison Colvin, Porter Colvin, Paden Colvin, Amy Jones, Shelby Boyle, Hunter Boyle, and Levon Colvin and ten great grandchildren. A memorial fund is established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Padden Funeral Chapel, Frankfort.
