Diane Dee Peppersack, 79, of Frankfort, KS, died September 21, 2021, at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville. Visitation was Friday, September 24, from noon to 8 p.m. at Padden Funeral Chapel. Pastor Shannon Borgman officiated. A graveside funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 25, at the Frankfort City Cemetery. Diane was born April 7, 1942, at Frankfort to Charles and Alta Mary (Sabin) Shedden. She worked for 20 years for AT&T in Los Angeles, CA, then Kansas City, and later transferring to Manhattan, KS, where she retired. Dee then operated a Day Care Center in Manhattan until moving to Frankfort to care for her mother. She loved researching genealogy and spent over 50 years doing so. She and Carroll would travel around to various cemeteries documenting ancestors and compiling that information into many, many large 3 ring binders. She also enjoyed collecting family antiques. Dee was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary. On November 20, 1966, she married Max Ferrel Schartz at Frankfort. He preceded her in death on February 21, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Charles Dale Shedden, James Gale Shedden and Don Phelps Shedden. On January 20, 2001, she married Carroll Dean Peppersack at LaCygne, KS. He survives. Her nephew, Michael Shedden, Phoenix, AZ, also survives. A memorial fund has been established to Community Memorial Healthcare. Contributions may be sent in care of Padden Funeral Chapel.
