Donald C. Stock

Donald Charles Stock, 70, Home, Kan., died August 20, 2019 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City. Visitation was Friday, August 23 from noon until 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary.  The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service was held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 24 at Church of Christ in Marysville.  Rev. Dennis Holst officiated.  Music included "The Old Rugged Cross", "Jesus Loves Me" and "This World is Not My Home". The pallbearers were Kevin Stock, Jerry Stock, Jeff Stock, Nevik Stock, Tyler Stock and Travis Schubert. Burial was in the Home Cemetery. Don was born September 7, 1948 to Edward and Cecilia (Turk) Stock.  He attended various country schools north of Home City and grew up on his parent’s farm, helping with all the farm work.  He also worked for Orval Withey, doing farm work, in his early life.  In his later years, Don worked for Landoll's in Marysville, Washington Recycle in Washington and Twin Valley Development in Beattie. On April 20, 1995, he was united in marriage to Maudean Arnold at the Beattie United Methodist Church.  She survives.  Other survivors include brother, Larry (Carol) Stock, Emporia; sisters-in-law, Jean Stock, Silver Lake, Jeri (Dennis) Doak, Marysville; three nieces, three nephews, fourteen great nieces and nephews and twelve great-great nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jim Stock. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later.  Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
